Sunday 12 October 2008 9am: Jog Shop 20 mile run in Brighton

I have just competed in a grueling 20 mile run over the hills of the South Downs.
I did it in 3 hrs 12 min and came 76th out of 161 runners.

The course is notoriously difficult with extremely steep hills with features that include The North Face, The Big W and The Death Valley!

T-shirts for Timberland has now been finalized and my 2 designs will be released Feb 2009 in a limited edition of 3000 each. I will post a picture when I have the samples.....

Can we now live without mobile phones?

I have been thinking recently that we could now live without mobile phones. Email culture is now so prominent that we don't call each other as much as we used to.
Most people now have a mobile number, land line number and email address - we could quite simply throw away the mobile and just stick with email and land line with an answer machine which is generally built in now. Everyone who works in an office environment is on the computer most of the time now and receives email all the time that they can answer immediately and if it is urgent receives a call. I am now starting to feel that the mobile is becoming an unnecessary gadget that we can get rid of and get back to talking with people, making plans and sticking with them rather than having the convenience of changing at the last minute by texting...... So why not throw away the mobile?
